Everett for Families: A City That Actually Gets It

Traveling with kids means you need a destination that delivers for every age - not just a city with one or two kid-friendly spots tacked on as an afterthought. Everett actually delivers. Staying at Timber & Tide puts your family 7 minutes from the Imagine Children's Museum, 8 minutes from Funko HQ, and 8 minutes from the Boeing Factory Tour.

    Imagine Children's Museum

The Imagine Children's Museum is the largest children's museum in the Pacific Northwest, and it's designed for kids up to age 12. Inside, you'll find an indoor forest, a pretend wildlife rescue lab, a water play area exploring gravity and force, and exhibit spaces that encourage exploration, creativity, and make-believe. It's the kind of place where you plan to stay for an hour and end up staying three. Free community access nights happen on the third Thursday of every month.

    Funko HQ

If your kids (or you) are into pop culture, Funko's Everett headquarters and flagship store is a must. The building is guarded by giant Pop figure replicas - Hagrid, Elsa, Luke Skywalker - and inside it's a wonderland of collectible figures from every franchise you can imagine. Kids love picking out their favorites, and parents usually end up finding something for themselves too.

    Jetty Island (Summer)

During Jetty Island Days (July 8 – Sept. 6, 2026), the Jetty Island ferry takes families to a two-mile sandy beach with warm, shallow water that's ideal for young kids. The calm, protected shoreline means little ones can splash around safely while parents actually relax. Reservations required — $3–$5/person (2 & under free). The ferry operates Wednesday through Sunday, departing from Jetty Landing at 10th St & W. Marine View Dr. Bring a kite, a picnic, and sunscreen. Reserve your ferry tickets early — they go fast.

    AquaSox Baseball

Minor league baseball is made for families. The Everett AquaSox play from spring through autumn, and the games are affordable, relaxed, and fun for all ages. Kids can run around, the concessions are solid, and the atmosphere is pure small-town summer magic. It's the kind of evening everyone remembers. Check the events calendar for upcoming games.

    Flying Squirrel Trampoline Park

For days when the kids need to burn off energy (so, every day), Flying Squirrel Trampoline Park in Everett has wall-to-wall trampolines, climbing walls, a battle beam, and enough bounce to tire out even the most energetic kids. It's genuinely fun for all ages - adults are welcome and encouraged to jump too.

    Parks & Playgrounds

Everett has more than 40 parks, and several have excellent playgrounds. Legion Memorial Park has great playground equipment and stunning Puget Sound views. Rucker Hill Park is a neighborhood favorite. And Forest Park offers trails and green space that feel like a nature escape right in the city. For a unique outdoor experience, the Evergreen Arboretum & Gardens is peaceful enough for a family stroll and interesting enough to keep curious kids engaged. Explore more in our adventures guide.

    A Family-Friendly Home Base

Timber & Tide gives your family room to spread out - a full kitchen for meal prep, a living space for downtime, and all the comforts of home that a hotel room just can't match. Traveling with kids is easier when everyone has space. Book direct and save.
