Everett, Washington sits 30 miles north of Seattle, but it has its own identity: waterfront views, world-class aviation, craft breweries, sandy beaches, and a Cascade mountain backdrop that reminds you daily why people move to the Pacific Northwest. If you are staying at Timber & Tide, here is everything worth putting on your list.
Aviation & History
1. Boeing Factory Tour
The Boeing Everett Factory Tour is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Washington State, and it earns the hype. You step inside the largest building in the world by volume and watch 777 and 777X aircraft being assembled from bare fuselages to near-complete planes. The tour is about 80 minutes and is guided. Book well in advance, as slots sell out weeks ahead, especially in summer.
Practical info: Tours run Thursday through Monday. The Future of Flight Aviation Center serves as the starting point; arrive early to explore the exhibits and the Sky Deck.
2. Future of Flight Sky Deck
Even without the factory tour, the Future of Flight center is worth a stop. The rooftop Sky Deck has panoramic views of the runway at Paine Field, and watching wide-body aircraft taxi, take off, and land is one of those experiences that never gets old. Admission is separate from the factory tour.
3. Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum
One of the finest collections of restored vintage military aircraft in the country, originally assembled by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. More than 25 aircraft and 30 vehicles across 100,000 square feet, with flying demonstrations on select dates. Admission is far more affordable than you would expect for the caliber of collection.

Waterfront & Beach
4. Jetty Island
Jetty Island is a two-mile man-made island at the mouth of the Snohomish River with warm, shallow water and soft sand. During Jetty Island Days (July 8 to September 6, 2026), a seasonal ferry runs from Jetty Landing at 10th St and W. Marine View Dr, Wednesday through Sunday. Reservations required, $3 to $5 per person (2 and under free). A genuinely unique beach experience that most visitors to Washington never know about.

The marina district boardwalk connects Boxcar Park, the marina promenade, and the waterfront restaurants. Best at sunset when the Olympic Mountains glow across the Sound. Free and accessible year-round.
6. Kayak and SUP Rental
Rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard from the kiosk at Central A-Dock (south of Boxcar Park) and paddle out to Jetty Island or explore the marina on your own schedule. No experience required.
7. Howarth Park Beach
