The Boeing Factory Tour: Your Complete Guide

The Boeing Everett Factory Tour is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Washington State, and it's right here in Everett. You'll step inside the largest building in the world by volume and watch wide-body aircraft - including the 777 and 777X - being assembled on the factory floor.

    What to Expect

The factory tour is about 80 minutes and is guided. You'll ride a bus from the Future of Flight center to the factory building, where you'll walk through elevated viewing areas overlooking the assembly line. Seeing aircraft in various stages of production - from bare fuselages to nearly complete planes - is genuinely impressive at any age. Photos are not allowed inside the factory itself, but the memories stick.

    Tips for Visiting

Book in advance. Tours regularly sell out weeks ahead of time, especially during summer and holidays. Thursday through Monday are the operating days for factory tours. Arrive early to explore the Future of Flight center, which has interactive aviation exhibits and the Sky Deck - a rooftop observation area where you can watch planes take off and land from the adjacent runway. Give yourself at least 2-3 hours total for the whole experience.

The Boeing Store at the Future of Flight center is well-stocked with aviation merchandise, and fair warning - you'll probably want to browse. Parking at Future of Flight is free.

    Where to Eat After

After the tour, head to the Everett waterfront (about 10 minutes away) for lunch or dinner. The marina district has several restaurants with Puget Sound views. Or if you're heading to downtown Everett, there's a growing food and drink scene along Hewitt Avenue and the surrounding blocks. Check out our restaurant guide for our top picks.

    Where to Stay

Timber & Tide is located in Everett, just minutes from the Boeing Factory and Future of Flight. If you're making the trip for the tour, why not stay the night and explore the rest of what Everett has to offer? You might be surprised how much there is to do.
